Types of Dentures
The Smile Centre produces many different types of dentures, or false teeth, as they are sometimes called. We can make a wide variety of dentures to suit any patient and any mouth. These include:
Upper and lower dentures – we build and fit both upper and lower dentures, as well as pairs of new complete dentures which cover both the upper and lower jaw.
Denture implants – this involves dentures which are securely fixed to implants in the jaw, and is an increasingly popular option to replace missing teeth rather than conventional bridges or partial dentures.
Other varieties of dentures which we can produce at the Smile Centre include:
Immediate dentures – these dentures are placed immediately in your mouth at the time of extraction and may require supplementary adjustments once the healing process is completed.
Flexible dentures – adapting around the shape of the teeth and gums upon insertion, flexible dentures are often used when it would be difficult or impossible to insert a traditional plastic or light allow denture.
Partial dentures – also known as bridges, these dentures are used to fill in gaps left by missing teeth.
Please note that the Smile Centre makes and passes on full and partial dentures directly to the patient – there is no middle man involved. Partial dentures are given by prescription, and will require a full oral examination beforehand.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PARTIAL DENTURES CAN ONLY BE SUPPLIED ON A PRESCRIPTION FROM A DENTAL SURGEON.
